Terms of Service

RydeChain connects drivers who are already making a journey with passengers heading the same way. Drivers publish a trip — its route, departure time, seats, and price — and passengers book a seat on it. Passengers do not summon a driver; they join a journey that is already planned.

We are a marketplace, not a transport provider. We do not own vehicles or employ drivers. The transport itself is an agreement between the driver and the passenger.

You must be 18 or older and provide accurate details. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your login secure. One person, one account.

• You must hold a valid driving licence, roadworthy vehicle, and any insurance and permits the law requires where you operate.
• Verification documents must be genuine and current. We may suspend an account where documents are missing, expired, or in doubt.
• A published trip is an offer to carry passengers on that route. Once a passenger has booked, honour the booking or cancel promptly so they can make other arrangements.

• Be at the pickup point at the agreed time. Drivers are not obliged to wait indefinitely.
• Treat the driver, the vehicle, and other passengers with respect.
• Follow the trip’s stated rules, such as luggage or pet limits.

Fares are set by the driver and paid in ADA on the Cardano blockchain. Prices are shown before you book.

Cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible and ADA’s value fluctuates. Confirm the amount and destination before you send anything. We never hold your private keys and cannot reverse, recover, or refund a blockchain transaction on your behalf. Network fees are set by Cardano, not by us.

Either party may cancel before pickup. Repeated late cancellation or failure to appear may lead to suspension. Where a cancellation policy applies to a booking, it is shown at the time of booking.

Using RydeChain, you agree not to:

• Break any law, or carry anything unlawful
• Harass, threaten, discriminate against, or endanger anyone
• Impersonate another person or provide false verification documents
• Interfere with the service, or attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours
• Arrange payment outside the platform to avoid its protections

Check that the vehicle and driver match what the app shows before you get in. Report anything unsafe through the app. In an emergency, contact the local emergency services first.

Drivers and passengers rate each other after a trip. Ratings must reflect a genuine experience. Accounts that persistently fall below an acceptable standard may be suspended.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, presents a safety risk, or is used fraudulently. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.

We work to keep RydeChain running but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change, and maintenance or faults may cause downtime. Matching depends on drivers actually publishing trips on your route — we cannot guarantee a ride will be available.

Because the journey is an agreement between driver and passenger, we are not responsible for the conduct of users, the condition of vehicles, or events during a trip. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in the app before they take effect, and continued use afterwards means you accept them.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and disputes fall to the courts of Ghana.
